The clocks go back at 2am on Sunday 25 October. From then on, a lot of us will be driving home from work in the dark, whether that's through Bracknell town centre, out along the A322, or on the back roads to Ascot and Crowthorne.
Dark evenings mean your lights matter more than ever. Here's a quick routine:
- Check every bulb: headlights (dipped and main beam), brake lights, indicators, fog lights and number plate lights. Ask someone to stand behind the car while you press the brake.
- Clean your lenses: road grime can noticeably cut how much light gets out. A wipe with warm soapy water makes a real difference.
- Check your aim: if oncoming drivers keep flashing you, your headlights may be pointing too high.
- Clean the inside of the windscreen: that greasy film shows up badly under oncoming headlights.
We can check and replace bulbs quickly, often while you wait. Give us a call on 07758 833 127.
