Our advice
Bleed the system properly
Air trapped in a cooling system after fitting causes hot spots and false temperature readings, and it is the usual reason a new radiator seems not to help. We bleed the system fully and run the car up to temperature to check for leaks before it goes back to you.

If the car's temperature rises on longer sessions, yes. For road use, a healthy original radiator is usually enough.
