Tyres fitted in Fleet
We supply and fit tyres for Fleet and Church Crookham from our Bracknell workshop, twelve miles up the M3. We quote the fitted price up front, and if you only need two tyres we will tell you which axle they should go on rather than selling you four.
about twelve miles from Fleet (GU51 and GU52) via the M3 to junction 4a, or across through Sandhurst and Yateley
Fitted price, not a headline price
What we quote includes fitting, balancing and getting rid of the old tyre, so the figure does not grow at the counter.
Matched to your car properly
Correct size, load index and speed rating for what you drive — not the nearest thing in stock.
Told honestly when you can wait
If a tyre has legal life left we will say so. We would rather you came back than bought something you did not need.
Mixing tyres across the car
Fitting two new tyres instead of four is fine, but there are rules. Tyres on the same axle must be the same size and construction, and mixing radial and cross-ply on an axle is illegal. We would also always fit the same brand and pattern on an axle, because different tyres grip differently and the car can pull under braking. And when only two are replaced, the new ones normally go on the rear, whichever wheels drive the car, because losing grip at the back is the harder skid to recover from.
We also cover Church Crookham, Elvetham Heath, Crookham Village, Ancells Farm and Dogmersfield, all within a short run of the workshop.
Tyres fitted in Fleet — common questions
- Do you fit tyres for Fleet?
- Yes. We are in Bracknell, about twelve miles from Fleet via the M3 junction 4a. Send us your size or registration and we will quote.
- Should new tyres go on the front or the back?
- Usually the back, even on front-wheel drive cars. The better tyres at the rear help keep the car stable in the wet, because rear-end slides are harder to control.
- Can I have different brands of tyre on the front and back?
- Yes, as long as each axle matches and the size, load and speed ratings are correct. Mixing brands on the same axle is what we would avoid.
- What is the legal minimum tyre tread in the UK?
- 1.6mm across the central three quarters of the tread, all the way around the tyre. Below that it is up to £2,500 and three penalty points per tyre, and grip in wet weather drops off well before you reach the limit.
- Do you need my registration or my tyre size?
- Either works. The size is moulded into the sidewall, like 205/55 R16 91V. If the car has had different wheels fitted at some point, the sidewall is the more reliable of the two.
